Two people.
Both their mobile numbers.

Pixelate was founded by Jackson and Boston, and they still run every engagement personally. Your work is not handed to a junior or sent offshore. The people who scope it are the people who build it, and the people you call when it matters.

Two people is a deliberate size, not a stage we are trying to grow out of. It is the reason nothing gets lost in a handover, and the reason we turn down work we would do badly.

Who runs your account.

Both of them, on every engagement. You get their direct numbers, not a shared inbox and not a ticket queue.

Jackson, co-founder of Pixelate

Jackson

Co-founder · engineering and automation

Jackson writes the site itself, and then everything the site has to talk to. That is the booking system, the enquiry form and where it lands, the payment link, the calendar, and the AI agents that pick up the follow-up when nobody is free to. When two systems have to agree with each other, that is his half of the business.

He also owns the parts nobody sees until they fail: page speed, security headers, hosting, backups and the monitoring that tells us a form has stopped delivering before you find out from a customer who never got a reply.

What that means for you: the person who scoped the integration is the person who built it, so nothing is lost explaining it to somebody else, and there is no third party to blame when it breaks.

Boston, co-founder of Pixelate

Boston

Co-founder · design and growth

Boston decides what the site looks like and what it says. The layout, the type, the colour, which photographs earn their place, and the words on every page, written the way you would explain the job to somebody standing in front of you rather than the way a brochure would.

After it launches he runs the half that brings people to it: your Google Business Profile, the local search work, Google and Meta ads against a budget you set, and the review process that turns a good job into the thing the next customer reads first.

What that means for you: the design and the marketing are decided by one person, so the site you launch and the campaign that points at it are making the same argument instead of two different ones.

The rules we hold ourselves to.

Three commitments that each cost us money. They are the reason our quote is sometimes smaller than the one you were expecting, and they are the whole reason anyone believes us the second time.

Plain English

You will never get an update you have to decode. If we cannot explain the work, the reason for it and what it costs in ordinary words, then we do not understand it well enough to be billing you for it yet.

Jargon in this industry is almost always covering for something, and what it is usually covering for is a thin piece of work.

We'll talk you out of it

If the cheaper plan does the job, you will hear that before you have signed anything. If the thing you asked for is not the thing that fixes your problem, you will hear that too.

It costs us the difference on the invoice. We would rather be the people you ring in two years than the people who sold you the bigger package once.

No invented numbers

We do not publish a statistic we cannot source, or a result we cannot separate from everything else that changed in the same month. That rules out most of what agencies put on a slide.

Where we cannot prove a number, we tell you exactly what changed instead. Less impressive, considerably more useful.

The boring but important bit.
